The Gallery will lodge the collectios after 1945 and temporary expositions. Didactive activities will place next the expositions (collective exhibit of contemporary art called Lavori in Corso will continue to june 2000) in the restructured reprojected buildings of ancient Birra Peroni's factory: guided visits, experimental activities, apprenticeships, special project and expert advices.

In a new roman space, just opened to the Art and to the Artist, like a point of reference and meeting in a world without points of reference, it's appropriated to discovered the exhibit about Cambellotti (Rome 1876-1960). Cambellotti grown up with his father, engraver and decorator, and begun the artist-craftsman pour excellence: sculptor, scene designer, interior decorator, graphic, engraver, decorator, ceramist and so on under his creative hand. Just he said: "...I've never scorned any form of art".

It was just this crowd of expression ways that the exibition want to underline, making big public partaked of. There are showed sculptures, ceramics, glass-enclosure and tapestries, draws and theatrical roughs.

Cambellotti debutted in 1897 at Rome like designer of advertising posters. He was one of the firsts in Italy to keep own Morris ideology and he felt the need of a social sense in the art, on the wave of progressive ideas. His works express the global concept with the willingness of create with pedagogic moralistic function multiplaying artistic objects. In Cambellotti' art we can feel the desire avoiding simple past-contemplation for the recostruction of a unlikely lighting-century. Instead he wants falling into the real world, aggressive and mutable but riches of influences.

The artist exploits contemporary comunication and expression ways to widespread primordial valors, fleeing iper-technologic society strongled by urbanisation and machines. The strong connection feels with rustic world is very important and rural themes, even the same, are recurring in the art of the roman artist.
Almost a return to the mythic research of the bon-sauvage, Cambellotti found in rural roots the genuinity of to be that contemporary world was loosing. Conscious about the objective withdrawness caracterizing rural worlds, he voted himself to requilify it. In 1901, Cambellotti organized with Alessandro Marcucci the Dantesque lectures to common people, while in 1905 they founded the first school to roman farmers with Giovanni Cena, Giacomo Balla and other intellectuals.

In 1911 with the same group, he organized the exhibit of Agro Romano Schools, accusing the abandone estate of countrysides and thinking the grande capanna artistica, symbol of a pure world yet.

In the years after Cambellotti decored the primer and the composition manual destined to the same Agro Schools he will paint personally. Cambellotti collaborates with the Established Theatre of Rome, with D'Annunzio, La Casa revue, Ducrot's furnitures, placing next official and private works.

Duilio Cambellotti was one of the biggest figures in the italian graphic and with his varios artistic activities, the adesion to contemporary social-politic themes he was the perfect representative of that total artistic willingness caracterizing, everywhere, the end of XIX century and the beginning of the next.

It sames convenient to say that, nowadays, Cambellotti presents himselfs as an authoritative witness to the opening of an citizen artistic space that would be international too.
